Your day, with a little Annara.

A familiar breakfast, a filter coffee between plans, a long meal with the people you love: how we picture the café in an ordinary week, and the neighbours we are making it for.

Not every visit needs a reason. A neighbourhood café earns its place slowly, one ordinary day at a time.

Here are three of the moments we are most looking forward to sharing with you.

Breakfast

A familiar start.

In Bengaluru, a good day often begins at a table like this: soft idli and crisp vada, a plate of ven pongal with ghee melting into it, chutney and sambar within easy reach, and a filter coffee to see it all through.

We are making room for that kind of start. Unhurried, familiar and generous, shared with the people you begin the day with, or enjoyed quietly on your own before everything else begins.

Coffee

A pause between plans.

Between errands, between meetings, between one part of the day and the next, there is always room for a filter coffee. A tumbler and davara, a few unhurried minutes, a conversation that picks up exactly where it left off.

We hope Annara becomes that pause for you: close to home, easy to step into, and always pleased to see you.

The filter coffee story

Together

Good food, shared.

Some of the best meals happen in the middle of the table: a bowl passed from hand to hand, a papad broken three ways, someone serving you a little more than you asked for, three conversations running at once.

That is the table we are setting: room for family, old friends and new neighbours, and the kind of South Indian food that has always brought people together.

Plan your visit

Made for the whole neighbourhood.

Annara is for anyone who wants good food and a warm welcome close to home. While we build it, we have a few people especially in mind.

  • A steel milk can, a twist of fresh jasmine and a potted tulsi on a red oxide doorstep in early morning

    Neighbours and regulars

For the people who live a few streets away, and the ones who will soon feel as though they do. We hope to learn your name, your usual and how you take your coffee.

  • Families

Room at the table for grandparents, parents and little ones, with food everyone recognises and nobody has to explain.

  • Students

A friendly place to meet between classes, share a plate, and talk about everything over a coffee.

  • Young professionals

A proper South Indian meal in a busy week, or a filter coffee that quietly resets the day.

  • Readers and solo diners

A table for one is still a table worth setting. Come with a book, or with nothing at all.

  • Food lovers

For anyone who cares how the sambar tastes and where a recipe comes from. Karnataka food, made with care.

  • Local creatives

Artists, musicians, writers and makers: we are making room for your work, your ideas and your company.

    Collaborate with us

Your table, your pace.

There is no right way to do Annara. Some days it will be a quick filter coffee on the way somewhere else. Other days it will be the whole family around one table, plates moving in every direction, nobody in any hurry to get up.

We are building a café that fits around you, rather than the other way round. Come in your work clothes or your weekend ones. Bring the grandparents, the toddler, the friend you have not seen in a year, or nobody at all. Order something familiar, or ask us what you should try.

Food is where it all starts. Everything else, the light, the art on the walls, the conversations drifting from one table to the next, is there to make the time feel a little more yours.

Make a little room for Annara, and we will make room for you.

How would Annara fit your day?

A breakfast catch-up, a coffee between errands, a long lunch with friends: tell us how you would spend your time here, or simply say hello.
